Another BD SB announced in Poland!

It's a bit tricky though - the site is a shop, not distributor. It's the same shop that announced Terminator 4 steelbook, hence the UK edition as a placeholder. Distributor (TiM) has nothing announced on their website, however they have no news on any October releases yet. Polish release date is 13th of October. Again, if anyone would be interested in buying it I'll help gladly.

I hope it does mean it's going to be unique! But the prices are really high on this one - about 140 PLN = ~$50 = ~35 euros

No, there are also Italian, Dutch and probably French releases.

I just called the distributor. Polish edition will be the white one, and will be written either in English or Polish. The lady I talked to wasn't sure what to tell me as she didn't know what the covers from other countries look like, but when I described them, she told me that it will probably be in Polish. So finally we'll get first Polish BD Steelbook

The Steelbook itself would be something like $50 (it's listed for 130-140 PLN), shipping to North America using Polish Post is something like $20, depending on the weight. This shipping cost is for the registered letter up to 500 grams, prioritized, with the confirmation of receipt. Would be sent in envelope with bubble foil inside - I don't know yet if I'll find any of those cool DVD sized cardboard boxes DVD.co.uk is using.

Ouch, 70$ is a bit too much for me especially since I already own the UK version..Maybe the currency exchange for the Netherland version isn't as bad

Yeah, welcome to the Blu-ray market in Poland... However, I think that if someone from the States organized a group buy for all the continent, the individual shipping cost could be much cheaper. And maybe I would even get a discount for the movies, if bought enough

I got one today! Here are the scans of the cover art:


About the back cover - the Polish description is in fact a cheap backpaper GLUED to the Steelbook. It looks really ugly. REALLY bad printing quality. However, after removing the backpaper (which requires a hairdryer or water to remove the paper and WD-40 to remove the glue) there is an ALL ENGLISH back cover. You can see the real back cover on the scan below. Please note that my copy still has some glue left on it (the big shade on the right and lower part) cause I didn't use the WD40 yet - I wanted to provide you with the scans as soon as possible )



The funny thing is that the BD specs on the real back cover are the same as on the glued backpaper. Why the **** did the distributor glue it (eventhough they were shrinkwrapped together, so no difference actually), is beyond my comprehension.

To sum up - Polish Gladiator Steelbook is the ONLY white version of the movie with all-English covers.

Any internal artwork on this beast? I just got an email from Amazon.FR that my copy from them has shipped, but noone has confirmed interior artwork on that one either
