Juice, again because of my childhood, is still one of my personal favorites. The soundtrack and the opening of that movie with Eric B. and Rakim bumping through the spreakers still makes me smile. Wait...it was Eric B. and Rakim right? I haven't seen it in a long time.

Yea that was Rakim "Know The Ledge" That sound track slapped! My fav was Naughty by Nature "Uptown Anthem" But I am from the hip hop gen as well so we can relate. I can watch Juice over and over!! Bishop (Pac) was a beast!! Got Em!!

What a cast it had, though. C. Thomas Howell, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, the late Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estivez, Tom Cruise, Diane Lane...wow!

Exactly how does it make him Homosexual? I mean, I do find it annoying, but I've gotten used to it. But calling him gay? A little middleschoolish don't you think?

City of God. There is no competition. So much so, that I wouldn't even put these other movies on the same shelf as City of God in my collection.

edit: this category of film is very confusing, "gang...but no organized crime"...what is a gang but an organized group of criminals? for example, why wouldn't gangs of new york qualify? i think you were actually trying to describe the "hood film":

posts are analyzed when they add absolutely nothing to the thread and detract from the subject matter, as yours has. arguing about semantics seems pretty pointless on a movie website, but gooch was correct in calling you out.
