It seems random. I see demon, try to lock onto said demon, cannot do it. He comes closer, still cannot do it. Then sometimes I lock onto a demon way farther away. It's not all the time, but it kills me every single time it happens. I just run around swinging now when it happens trying not to die.

I only got in about 70-80 mins last night, but wow, what a great game! I really like it so far. I died at that giant fat thing, I was only able to shoot him with the bow once. But other than that, I have only died one other time. The game is hard, but it's certainly not unbearable.

I have only gone to the level right behind where that guy is sitting in the Nexus.... I assume that's the first one? Anybody tried any other levels? And how do I get my body back, is it at the end of that first level?

Weird, no explanation at all.

You get your body back whenever you defeat a boss, or help someone else defeat theirs.

It's selling pretty damn well on amazon. Number 4 overall on the deluxe. Did I just miss a badass sale on it or what?!

This looks great. Think I will go get it at Fry's today 49.00. I have been waiting for a good RPG. Do you have to play online, or can I go through as only a single player campaign?

You can avoid playing online by signing out of PSN. If you do that, you won't be able to join anyones game or be able to see any clues that have been left. You won't have anyone come in and help or try to steal your souls either, but there is not co-op so you won't really be missing much.

I know this may sound like a dumb question, but I am considering getting this game, just wondering if there are different graphics for different armor and swords and if it looks anytihng like WoW? I know WoW is a totally different style game and all. Thanks

I recommend off line. People can invade your game and change it from light to dark, and steal souls. there's no real benefit from being on-line during the first run though.

Short answer: You can't play traditional co-op.

Long answer: After you beat the first boss you can talk to someone for a Blue Eye Stone. This allows you, in soul form, to drop a blue marker on the ground that someone else in Body form can use in order to summon the soul to their game, co-op wise. If you want to play with a friend, you have to be the first to use their blue marker. Recommend dropping the blue marker in an out of the way place. However, you can only co-op a place which still has a boss alive, and killing the boss restores the soul to a body, so you can't continue from there unless one of you suicides. Lastly, only the one in body form gets credit for the kill.

Sounds like to coop you really have to be close friends as you really get nothing out of helping someone else directly unless they return the favor.

Well...

At first, I thought it was kinda challenging...

But now... no.

I'm finding the game is actually remarkably easy. Maybe too easy. You just have to do some grinding to get your levels up. There's tons of good equipment already available in 1-1 even!

Killed 1-1 Phalanx and 1-2 Tower Warrior each on the first try no problem same for the Red Flaming Dragon.

It seems to be really just about tactics more than anything and slowing down a bit, looking around, then making a strategic call to make things go smoother.

Still die a lot. But, it's not bad at all.

Great game. Definitely not hack'n'slash though... you do that and you are dead for sure. You gotta be wise to your button pushing and learn to turtle up behind shields and roll away before your stamina runs out. Stamina management seems to be the name of the game.

Anyway... I highly recommend this title. The fighting just feels really good. I feel like I'm really in there working it.

I give it five rockers.

Edit: I think the game would be much more difficult had I chosen a starting class that didn't have magic right off the bat. Magic is key to so much.

Perhaps a case of it being sold out?

I had to go to several stores just to find one. Snatched the last copy too.

Wonder if they only brought few copies, or the PS3 slim helped selled it.

I suspect this game wasn't even on retail's radar until it released.

Give them a week or two and they'll have tons in stock... Just in time for everyone to have found it elsewhere!

I really want to get this game, but I don't think that I have the time to dedicate to each sitting.
