It's tough looking for the right speakers. I thought since this will be my second time around, it would be easy. What I want and what I can afford are two different things.

I almost just feel like buying what I lost, except maybe a little change with the surrounds. Thinking about the bi-polar surround this time.

I second that,as well,HAMP.Finding the Perfect Speaker for Your Ear,Room, and Equipment can be more Difficult then finding the Needle in the proverbial Haystack.

I have Bipolar Surrounds and will say they are an entirely different sound.I havent owned Bi-polar Speakers for my Mains but even Big Daddy Loves his Bipolar Definitive Technologies.

And then you can also consider the Mirage Line and the Omnipolar sound they provide.
I wish you much success in finding the right speakers for you this time.

And Truly Hate it Ever Came to a Point Where You Had To Look For New Speakers.

It is tough, I did the checking out the pawn shops to see if I could come across anything I lost, no luck..

What I don't understand about pawnshops is why do they charge just as much as if the stuff was brand new or maybe a couple bucks less.

I did come across some Paradigms Reference 60 v2's and this place wanted $1500, a used PS3 for $249. I asked them how the hell do you people make money? Who is crazy enough to spend that much on used or possibly stolen items?

They call themselves giving me a smart answer and they sounded just as stupid, "Well maybe it's best you spend that EXTRA $50 to get a warranty and a brand new item"!!!

I was like "Oh really, you don't say".

Hey HAMP! Its good to hear from you. Its been awhile. I hope everything is going good for you.

Well since we are both gonna be loooking for speakers, I guess we can band together and help each other choose the ones that are right for us. Of course, my budget is not as big as i would like, but i plan on saving up getting a good set. I have my eyes on the Polk CS2 and the Monitor 70s. if you have any type of experience with these, please let me know!

Stay in touch HAMP!

I stay away from PawnShops, but I can understand your reasoning for going into as many Pawnshops as possible.

But like you said I have never seen or heard of anything in a Pwanshop that it was such an amazing deal that people couldnt believe it .

And considering what they pay for the items they get and then the amount they charge for them. They have More Mark-Up in a Product then a High End Retail Chain.

I really do wish you would walk thru a Pawnshop soon and see some items that were yours. Then perhaps could have some new avenues to persue, like who the people were who pawned the merchandise? And also being able to recover the items.

But as professional as it sounds they were. They took the goods a long distance away. Or are still sitting on them waiting for enough time to go by before they try to move them.

Well I wish you well on your upcoming Geology test .

Make sure you take some time and get as much studying in as possible. And make sure you try to get some rest in before you take the test as well.

A reted mind does better in stressful situations like test taking. So do well and make Yourself proud of what you accomplish.

I normally do stay away from them, Grandfather also called them places of bad luck and I don't need any of that with me.

Believe me I am trying, it's difficult and I am doing better. I did great on my hand on examine the other day with 100% and finished 1 hour on the dot plus 100% on a missed test. I don't know how I did that good on the missed test, but I did study for the Hands on test.

I guess my biggest thing is waiting, I am not getting anything new while I am still living here and finding something else is not that easy. Some of the prices for rent is so high, I might as well buy a house.

Looking at this 25" CRT screen is killing me and having a old HTiB and a DVD player that freezes and locks up. The DVD player is a older upconvertor that sucks.

The people that come over and hear me complain, say it's not that bad with what I have and I swear I want to smack'em.....

PLEASE, PASS THAT GOOD LUCK ON TO ME CAUSE I NEED IT TODAY! As for not getting anything new, I dont blame you. Just wait till you find a new place. Youll just have to bare with it till you get on your feet again. If i had an extra 32" lcd, id send it to you!

I really couldn't even begin to know how you feel HAMP with all thats happened to you.
And I know it must be agony to use what you have now,in comparison to what you have lost.

And I think you Are Making A Very Wise Choice in Not Adding Any New Components While You Are Still Living In The Same Apartment.

But I Hope and Pray in time you will be able to build another system and have time help wash some of the sting of this Terrible Incident away.
But you do have Friends here who not only care, but would help as much as they can.

So when you are finally able to move. You may find that your Friends have done some things to try and help you out and get you off to a Great New Start.

It’s difficult and I try not to worry too much about it. A new hobby/habit slightly ripped from under me. The waiting at this point seems to be the hardest thing to do. Looking for that right place is harder then I thought. I don’t see myself moving into an apartment with thin walls. I’m not going to move into a place where the rent is higher then a mortgage payment.

You know when you upgrade sometimes it seems like it wasn’t worth it, but when you go backwards you really can see the difference.

My favorite TV was a 25”CRT and I had it for years, now looking at that thing my stomach cringes and I make the worst looking face. The HTiB surround sound---OMG no bass……….Where is the bass??????? Lol

I have been doing too much online looking and there have been some things I want to buy now, but I can’t see myself giving this stuff away again.

Things I want is beyond my pay grade … lol
Sometimes it just looks like and I pray I can atleast get close to what I had before.

The Klipsch wasn’t that bad and I loved them to be honest. I know I loved that Onkyo 805 and I will be getting another one of those, I loved the Denon I had in my bedroom.

I hate that I lost my launch PS3

Can’t let things keep you down, because some things are part of life.

I truly wish I could have done something to prevented what happened or to have changed the outcome,HAMP.

But it will take time to put together another system or 2(counting the bedroom)

But there are some advantages of building another system.

First you know what was lacking or what didnt sound just right in your previous system. So when you work on your new system you can do what it takes to change the negatives and weak points of your last system.

I know thats really No consolation with the situation you're in.But its something to consider.

So this time you can have a chance to build a system with all of the advantages of your past system, but with fewer of the weaknesses.

Hey Mike,I guess you are enjoying your couple of days off of work this week.

Any plans during your time off.

And what are you thinking of doing about "Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen" thinking of getting a copy.

Oh i am definitely getting a copy. I just have to figure out which one. the Wal-Mart exclusive, or just the Two special edition.

Speaking of Blus, in order to save up properly for my new speakers, my friend has decided to limit my Blu-ray purchases. Seeing as how i make random purchases because its a good price, I think it is a good idea. I am allowed only 5 Blu-Ray purchases for the rest of the Year. Transformers 2 is one of them.

I plan on stopping by and getting the Walmart version after work.....as long as they still have one.

Good luck with the blu's. You should bury your wallet and everything in it in the backyard.
