Yeah I remember thinking that Max Payne was awesome with 1 sub! No the whole family was there watching. My wife and kids loves the bass when watching movies...you just get lost in the movie when you've got good theater type sound.

I did notice some really weird sounds coming out of my surrounds but I just attributed that to the transformer sounds....oh yeah I really enjoyed watching Megan Fox running around with that low top too!

Yea, those "weird" sounds were some of the robots transforming but I Def. noticed some Bass from them as well as the fronts at times. MAX PAYNE: great audio on that entire flick. I haven't watched it with the new Sub yet I dont think, nor with my new surrounds (they're just barely 2 weeks old), so I have to put that in again soon. That's Very cool your wife & kids enjoy the Bass too, enough to let you CRANK it up as you noted.

And yes, Megan Fox in the Super-Slo-Mo shots was enjoyable in HD.

Damn, that was freakin' Fast!! My order took 3+ weeks (they were on major b/order a few weeks ago), so congrats! Which movie are you thinking of throwing in first? Let us know your results, post pics (or "it never happened" ), & enjoy!

Default "END OF DAYS" - Review (Killer LFE!!)

"END OF DAYS" - It's a pretty decent flick, though an obviously outlandish premish. Even still, another Fabulous soundtrack with Dolby True-HD - WOW!!! This one had some better Audio in than you might think my friends. Good lord!

It's been years since I watched it so it was kind of funny seeing it again, but the Audio Track is SUPERB on this Bluray. SU-FREAKIN'-PERB!!! --- There were Many scenes where I honestly thought, "Phew - for a movie made in 2000, they did a Fantastic job on the Audio & Picture". It looked great & sounded Awesome! I must recommend this for a 5/5 "Reference Quality" Audio track, Especially the LFE thru-out. The following has some "Spoilers" if you haven't seen this flick, but as it's 9 yrs. old, my apologies if you have not. That said...

A scene near the end where the Lab gets blown to hell packed one Hell of a OOOMMMPPPHHHH with the LFE in it. But, even more impressive for Great SUB use was where Arnie's character is escaping in his helicopter & has to pull up fast before hitting a building. As it cleared the top, it made the Lab explosion seem TAME in comparison! My FLOOR literally Shook & I "Felt" the vibration, but not in a way that it was Overpowering my Sub; it just had some Really LOW "hz" for that quick shot. Then at the end, his Helicopter/Jet (it sort of transforms from a helicopter to a jet - remember, this is set in the future supposedly), flies by from the Right Front to the Rear Left & Back again, & That had a Seriously LOW tone to it that kind of made me jump! I was NOT expecting that...!!

*** FINAL NUMBERS: ***
Movie: 3/5 Stars
Audio: 5/5 Stars
Video: 5/5 Stars

Hello all!
I'm new around here, but I have a PA-120 so here I am! I went ahead and got the whole PA-6F set as well.

My last sub was a Sony SM-WA500, which was fairly decent sounding. So far I've noticed the PA gets a lot lower

Also, this thing (and the whole set) is just georgous to look at. I chose the cherry wood. The high gloss black top is a nice touch. Depending on how my new receiver sounds (whenever I get it) maybe I'll add a second sub

Welcome 'Rubicon. Is the PA-120 Sub NOT an Amazing performer for the money?! If/when you can, please add PICS to your Gallery so we can all check out your gear. I have a gallery below with My PA-120 sub; it took 3+ weeks to get here (mfg. b/order ) but the wait was well worth it. Can't wait to re-watch most of my Blurays with this & my new Polk FXi3 Surrounds. Finally---my HT is sounding AMAZING All Around!!

Thanks Aerodude. I gotta say it really is a great price for the money.
I really like your setup. That first pic of the sub looked like it had a flame finish at first! But it was just the reflection. That would have been bad ass.
I'm working on the pics as I type this. Does it always take so long to upload?

I just watched the intro to LOTR: FOTR, with the DTS track, and I damn near had myself an accident Damn near orgasm-inducing! Especially that shockwave after Sauron gets defeated.

Oh yeah, mine took about a week to get here in northwest Arkansas, which is not bad from what I've been reading.

Yes, it can take some type to download pics to the gallery depending on the size of your photos & how many, but yours came out great. Not sure about your TV on Top () of your Center, but i'm sure you will maybe find a way to either mount it Above the TV, or maybe mount the TV itself perhaps () as an idea. But damn, those speakers are Freakin' Beautiful looking indeed!! Do they sound as incredible as they look? Prob. a dumb question with how the PA-120 sounds, but i'm not sure if I've read or heard from many here who have PA "Speaker" systems, other than the Sub itself. -- Oh, & thanks for the "visual" when you threw in your LOTR Dvd... Lol. Glad to see you have "HELLBOY II" on Bluray - that's one of my TOP AUDIO & VIDEO "Reference" Blurays in my collection. I absolutely LOVE the 7.1 DTS-HD MA Audio track that movie has, plus it Looks great as well. And thanks for the kind words on my Home Theater. It's taken a while but it now looks & Sounds freakin' Awesome!!

Yeah I'll figure something out for the center. Thanks, I looove the look of these speakers. Already they sound great, but I can't wait to get a new receiver and/or a power amp to really make them sing! As it is now they're only getting half the juice they can take!
Hellboy II is indeed great. One I rented recently with amazing audio was Knowing, with Nic Cage. Come to think of it, I watched it before I got new speakers, so maybe I'll watch again.

Phase: 0, Crossover: All the way up, Volume: 5 (1/2 way up). Nice pics, but I see 2 or 3 that are turned "Sideways" (?) on the 60's I believe & 1 sideways on the PA-120. Was that intentional? Either way, great setup, those Cherry speakers are Sweet looking.

"KNOWING" is a Great flick to Really test ALL your speakers, esp. the Surrounds & Sub. The Plane crash & Subway crash scenes are Beyond Intense!!

I don't know how to rotate the image so it will be vertical, is there a option to rotate the image? Ill just replace the image with horizontal shot.

Thanks!

I don't think you can rotate it Here, you prob. just have to delete/replace it after rotating it on your pc. Again, LOVE that Cherry Finish!!

Hey guys another happy PA 120 owner. When I had the Onkyo 605 I was not satisfied . Might sound weird but I had to kick up the amp to 8 on the Sub just to do the Audyssey set up. Now with the pioneer man what can I say .

That cherry is nice, isn't it? How do you have your sub set from the pioneer?
