Sorry to jump in on a thread with a different issue, but I have almost the exact OPPOSITE problem happening for me.

I only have three BDs with special features on them (I also have planet earth which hasn't had any problems), but all three of them play audio fine for the movie portion, but have no audio for any of the extras. I have been able to get the audio to work, but I need to go to the AV settings and switch from Linear PCM to bitstream (and then flip back if need be) for them to kick in.

I'm using a PS3 80gb which is connected via hdmi to my Sony KDL40-v5100 TV. I called Sony and asked them about it and they didn't really have any idea what was wrong (PS3 said it was a TV problem, TV said it was a PS3 problem). If anyone has an idea what could be causing this (it's especially strange to me since I would think that the OP problem would be more likely to occur) I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
