What PS3 do you own? Remember only the Slim PS3 can bitstream. The older model will decode Dolby True HD and DTS HD MA and sent them as LPCM via HDMI. On the older PS3 model, when you select the Dolby True HD or DTS HD MA audio tracks, the display in your 607 will read DVD and in smaller front (on top) pcm multichannel hdmi

. You are getting the HD sound, just different lights show in the 607's display.
