Mummy returns blu ray disc - Blu-ray Forum

I am wondering what does blu ray disc look like? I have Mummy 2 disc and it apparently won't play on the ps3 of mine. Other movies work fine, except this one. I am wondering if I got a fake one that someone may have swapped the discs ? Even weird, the blu ray logo on the disc looks lighter than other logos and it has the word BLU RAY IN HIGH DEF next to it...i dont' see that word on other blu ray discs?

I've watched the Mummy Returns on BD and had no problems with it playing on my PS3,which is my primary player. I rented it,so unfortunately I can't verify what the disc looks like, but I've also never seen a BD that states Blu-Ray in Hi-Def on it.
Did you buy it from a store or used online?
Also is your PS3 able to play all the latest movies?, if not check your firmware. Should be running 3.01 and not the disastrous 3.0

Your copy appears legit mine is just as you described.

bought it from best buys, unfortunately it was in August and my gf bought it, we never watched it since then. We've been busy with work and school these days trying to finish up our Masters program. Told my gf that next time whenever she buys it, check to make sure nothing is wrong with the disc itself.

Plus ps3 firmware is 3.01

I'd still try and take it back. Tell them it is defective and they shouldn't give you a problem with giving you a new copy. They'll just get refunded by the manufacturer. I've got the same setup as you and have watched the movie several times and haven't had any problems.

Not to rub it in or anything but the transfer is great!
