Charlie's Angels - New Series Returns To ABC - Blu-ray Forum

ABC plans to order a pilot for a remake of the classic 70s action series Charlie's Angels, with Josh Friedman (of TTSCC fame

) at the helm. Drew Barrymore (such a sweetie) will have some role, possibly as producer.

Well ok I guess but could they not come up with something more original then another detective TV show?

Yeah, seems like ABC is reboot-happy lately...could be cool though with both Friedman and Goldberg (who did the original) onboard. We'll see...

Yeah, I'm sure they didn't intentionally want to dis her, although she did have a pretty turbulent departure from the show.

Hope they do this one right! It will be hard to get iconic beauties like Farah & Jacklyn. Bionic Woman re-make started off pretty good then turned bad. Knight Rider re-make was just plain horrible.

The Bionic Woan I thought was terrible from the get go. My girlfriend was excited at the time of the premiere and forced me to watch it. She was disappointed half way through first episode lol

I might check it out if the angels are hot. I dont expect to make it through the first episode.

I was surprised that I made it through the first 5 minutes before changing channels.

As for the proposed Charlie's Angels series, this is an immediate pass for me. To this day, I have refused every attempt to watch the movie, and word of Drew's involvement will cement this. For me, the Angels will always be Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson and Farrah Fawcett.

FARRAH FAWCETT was only on the show for ONE YEAR; most people may not know this (1976). But it did launch her and her career. I'm sure this has been in the planning stages long before her passing & we are talking about a show that was last on, what, 30 years ago? IF they find the right people & producers/writers, it could be okay - tho' I doubt it personally.
