Default Books Into Movies

So, personally what books do you guys wish are going to be turned into film.
Personally, I think Sandman, by Neil Gaiman, would be an excellent book to feature, but I think that it would be hard to do correctly.

I wish that a major film company would pick up Runelords by David Farland and finish it. It was being worked on but with a very very low budget, and then vanished.

I would also love to see it done as a TV series, even animated. I think I would prefer a TV series because you could do most of the book without having to hack it to bits to make it fit in 90-120 minutes.

I'd like to see an Aquaman film done with a place sort of like Atlantis under the ocean or something. That would be cool IMO

Wish they had done the Aquaman TV show with Justin Hartley.

+1 I still watch the trailer even knowing we will never get it and it looked like it could have been even better then smallville.

Hard to say... the pilot definitely showed potential.

I would also love to see David Weber's Honor Harrington series made into movies. Some of those space battles would be awesome. Especially when they got into the pod deploying battles. Thousands of missiles nailing a ship tearing it to shreds!

I have said it before but I think the Robert Ludlum's Covert One series would make a great movie series. It has characters that are shared in every book and is some really great stuff.

World War Z. I got the book from my Bro and extremely enjoyed it. Plus there is an upcoming movie about it.

I'd like to see Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk turned into a movie with Edward Norton as the lead

Also Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand; though, it would probably be better as a miniseries since the book is 1,070 pages But I think it is great and belongs with the greats like 1984.

Frederick Poole's Gateway. But who would be a good director for it?

And Edgar Rice Burroughs John Carter of Mars.

The Heechee series? Seems like it would be a little bit slow paced to be a movie.
