Was at the friendly match between Denmark and South Korea last night..

0-0 not a very good game but brilliant atmosphere!
Also amusing to hear the 300 noisy Koreans scream BER-LIN-GO whatever that means

Will Fabregas move to Barca?

http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/1771/...enals-fabregas

Quote:
Barcelona are desperate to tie up a deal to secure Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas for next summer, and they are lining up a swap deal that could see Yaya Toure and Bojan Krkic head to the Emirates.

Blaugrana president Joan Laporta is stepping down next summer. He wants to re-sign the Catalan midfielder, who would become a legacy of the Laporta-era.

Ever since taking over in 2003, the Camp Nou supremo has been irked by the Gunners' move to sign Fabregas from Barca's youth system.

Though Arsenal have resisted the Blaugrana's approaches for some time, the Spanish outfit's latest efforts could bear fruit, according to The Daily Mail.

Toure will be offered for Cesc along with Bojan. The pair are both unsettled at Barcelona, having seen their chances reduced this season by the emergence of other stars.

While the Ivory Coast midfielder is coming second in his battle for a place with Seydou Keita, Bojan has seen Pedro and Jeffren Suarez compete for the wide positions in Pep Guardiola's squad.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may favour the bid as he is reportedly an admirer of both Barca players.

Real Madrid have also been linked with Fabregas. It is widely believed that family pressure would mean a move to Barcelona would be preferable for the playmaker.

The rumours on this always come from Barca, never from Cesc. That doesn't mean I'm not somewhat worried down the line. Looking at the current squad, I think it would be the one thing that would cause Arsene to lose his job if they did this and didn't pick up any Silverware immediately. Surely he knows that

Many players these days go to the media first and announce their desires to play somewhere else instead of doing the right thing an put in transfer requests. I think Cesc will leave in a couple of years and I commend him for keeping his plans to himself.

Thats an interesting deal but fab, iniesta, xavi midfield is a bad 4-3-3 midfield. letting yaya leave means mascherano coming to camp nou? i don't see busquets or keita being the starting holding midfielder. lets assume yaya toure is a 20m quid player and bojan is 12-15m based on potential because he's really young. thats 35m, don't tell me barca are going to pay arsenal another 20m for fabregas if they rate him over 50m. if its a straight swap with no cash involved then i would take this deal immediately. this reaks of the eto'o-ibra deal though LOL.

Wow.. wait til you see the replay of Henry's handballs. Totally robbed Ireland... But it happens every week in football.

The Irish tv guys are going insane calling Henry a "thief", "cheat" and more..

I feel bad for you irish. You deserved better. I'm french and I was routing for France but I didn't want to win like that. Not to mention Domenech needs to be fired.

Hey silversnake!

Very gratious of you to say so.. but McShane should have dealt with the ball in the first place and Henry should never have had the chance to square it to Gallas.

Also, it happened so quickly I'm not sure if it would have been given as a free kick anywhere!

Ireland had enough chances to win the game in the 90 minutes. They should have been on the place to South Africa by half time!

The Irish press are going to give out about this tomorrow and for the coming days, but I think that it is just a way to hide their frustration, as they know Ireland should have won this game long before extra time.

These things happen in football, every week! Its unfortunate, but until a video referee is brought in (which I hope it wont) we will continue to see these things. It is part of the game, has been for years and will be for many more.

All the hate will be towards Henry, but what can he do? It's instinct! "Keep the ball in play!" He wasnt thinking, as the ball was coming in, "I'm going to handle this ball".. It just happened in the blink of an eye.

Henry sat down beside Dunne after the game. I would like to think that Henry actually said "Sorry.. what could I do?" to Dunne. I believe he did. Henry respects Dunne from their time playing against each other in England and I think Dunne would have accepted his apology and accept that, although they seem unfair at the time, these things happen.

^^ I'm surprised you are taking it this well this fast. I am disgusted and my team won. If it happened to me I would be beyond pissed. Ya I know it's a part of soccer and it sucks but there should be something done. If not video review referees that are behind the net or something.

Ireland should have won in normal time but France did miss some key chances in the first game, two empty nets pretty much.

Regardless, good game to Ireland. You deserved much better.

i agree with garlad, should have won the game quite comfortably...

the french goal only denied us the penalty shootout, not the win.

I'm not the most patriotic, however I would have, of course loved to have seen them qualify.

But I am just saying that this game should have been over long before the handball, so there is no point crying over it now.

A shame it happened the way it did.. Were Ireland ever expected to reach the finals anyway? Not really.. Their squad is too poor and would have been on the first plane back home from South Africa.

I feel bad for the likes of Given who is world class.. and now he wont get an opportunity to show it on the biggest stage of all. But I wouldnt be blaming Henry, can only blame themselves.

If this was the other way around, the Irish attitude would be "Feck it, we're off to the World Cup! Doesnt matter how we got there!"
