I wouldn't worry about the rating that much. I realize these are classic games, but they didn't give it that bad of a score. A 9.0 is still pretty good.

anyways i asked amazon why the delay in shipping and they upgraded me to 2nd day for free. should get it friday.

I played this last night. I'm shocked at just how crisp the gameplay visuals are now, and even more pleasantly surprised at how well it stands up to the visuals of the GOW3 demo. My only minor complaint is that the non-ingame CGI doesn't seem to have improved much, and looks a little weak.

Other than that, this is an awesome addition to anybody's PS3 library, and for the trophy peeps out there there are TONS of silver and golds to be had.

When the ladies were asking about the content of this game, the seasonal guy behind the counter was like "Oh yeah...it'll be fine"

I laughed to myself and then died when I walked away. What a shock on Christmas morning huh?!?!

Thumbs up for this collection.. I was having a blast rockin God of War last night. The visuals look great on my TV.. the in-game movies using the original assets do look terrible, but the CGI movies stood up pretty good for their time!

I think what I like the most is how smooth everything plays, no hiccups

As far as audio is concerned I do have the option to switch between stereo and dolby II on my receiver, not that it is saying much, but the audio is indeed being sent in stereo

I do have to give props to harman/kardon's logic 7 though... I've been using it while playing gow 1 and it has done a pretty good job making it as 5.1 as possible

amazon shipped my order this morning at 8:20:50 from the coffeeville, kansas distribution center!

sad to say that dead space may have to take a break for a little bit, because i have to play through wanted:weapons of fate and get it back to gamefly, then im going to play through these, i cant freaking wait!!!

dude, priceless, i wonder if he just didnt know and wanted to make the sale, or if he just thought it would be hysterical to send these women home with god of war thinking it was all sunshine and ponies

I got to play for about an hour last night. It looks GREAT!! the cut scenes looked like they weren't remastered at all but when you into the gameplay WOW! I remember playing GOW 1 for ps1 and let me tell you this is light years away in terms of visuals! Haven't played GOW2 yet but I expect nothing less! Sony deserves a pad on the back for this. These epic games will never look better and I feel like Im playing them for the first time all over again. Great job sony!!

For the "Seeing Red" trophy in GoW, do you actually have to max out every single weapon/magic? I'm like 3/4 through the game and haven't even maxed one thing.

Yeah you have to max EVERYTHING

Make sure you open all the orb boxes and smash EVERYTHING you can to get orbs.

Rather than kill the minotaur for health kill him for orbs.. same for medusa, etc...

I wonder if they fixed the red orb glitch. Otherwise, as I recall, you only get enough red orbs to max out about 90% of your weapons and abilities.

Can you bonus play in the first GoW? I can't remember if you could, but if so, maxing everything shouldn't be hard.

Dolby Pro logic II is straight stereo. Your receiver has to modify it to be 7.1
But the signal comming from the PS3 will stereo.

Some of the later boss battles really pump up your orb count. Dont be too worried
