'Boogie Nights' Coming on Jan 19, 2010! - Blu-ray Forum

Alliance in Canada has beat the US release of 'Boogie Nights', by releasing it on January 19th, 2010 to have it out on the same day as 'Magnolia' (already announced in the US). Now keep in mind, a US release has been promised for 2010, but no date has been set yet. So those who absolutely NEED the film (such as myself), why not pick up both films on Jan. 19th?

because it will be probably released in 1.78 instead of 2.35, so no buy.

Its a possibillity, yes. We won't know until release day for sure.

Awesome news. The DVD was one of the few that I actually loved the extras for, so I'll probably wait for the US release, as Alliance will most likely skimp out on that portion. Boogie Nights is one of my all time favorite films.

Don't be so sure on the extras... The last time Alliance did a tie-in release (releasing A Hard Day's Night the same day as all of the remastered albums), they included all of the extras from the previous 2-disc DVD.

Personally though, I believe it will be a bare disc. Again, won't know for sure until release day or close to it.

Well, if it is in O.A.R, this is a must buy for me.

Boogie Nights is no longer a Canadian exclusive title, since it is being released tomorrow (Dec. 15th) at Best Buy stores in the US as THEIR exclusive. Canada still gets the disc on the 19th of Jan, & will be identical to the US Best Buy disc.

I really hope it will be identitcal to the US version. If so then I'll grab it for sure. I've been waiting for this on blu for a long time.

I can guarantee that it is the exact same disc.
