So, because Warner still hasn't figured out how to do seamless branching they waste a whole other BD disc to include the extended version? Sony included the couple of extra minutes on the same disc via seamless branching.

I'm in the US and am getting the UK release primarily for the steelbook, but another incentive for going with the UK release is that it's from Sony, and has AVC video. While Warner usually does a pretty good job with major releases, I'm still leery of their "lets push the VC-1 encode to the lowest bitrate possible" attitude. One example is Warner's New Line release of "Mongol" - the UK BD from Universal with AVC & DTS MA is a night & day improvement over Warner's VC-1 & DD US release.
