If they sell 285 of these Blurays, they'll make back their entire production cost

I really didn't like this movie.. Just a heads up to anyone looking to blind buy it. The $15,000 budget shows A LOT!

Those who can't appreciate this film really can't appreciate cinema at all. A $15,000 production budget that doesn't use any CGI whatsoever in any shots. It's all a matter of movie trickery which that shows A LOT! Not to mention how engaging it was from start to finish.

Paranormal activity is not a movie. It only goes to show how homogenized entertainment has been for so long that a particular group are just hungry for something else.

Also, Paranormal activity is a true miracle. Without a doubt. I for one am glad it has earned what it has and can only hope that it may change things for the better.

I'm interested to see what advantages the blu version has over the DVD since its not like the movie was made with anything that would use much of the capabilities of the media.

I LOVED this movie and knew about it before most did.
I already pre-ordered it. The price will go down and won't be charged until it hits that price, which I am suspecting it to be somewhere from $19.99- $24.99

MSRP of $48.99 Koo-koo. They beat Disney with that one.

A MSRP of a Criterion Blu-ray? You've got to be kidding me. I enjoyed it in the theater, but I would not be in any rush to see it again now that I know the ending.

Can't expect any less for the scariest, most awesomest movie that has ever been made.

There has to be more features than what's been mentioned. So far, all they say is that it has only ONE alternate ending and another of those BS digital copies. That just can't be it. Even if the price is lowered to 19.99, only having those features would still be too high a price, no matter how good I thought the movie was...then again, my name will be in the credits! We'll see if they mention more features, though. So far, the indication is that there won't be any seamless branching used, which is a little baffling.

IMO movies like this aint meant to have awesome and clear PQ as it was "a home video". Plus this was shot using a home digital camcorder and not like Cloverfield where bits of it used a proper movie cam.
It, obviously, wont be. Don't expect the Blu-ray version to look any better that the DVD.

I am going to blind buy this because of the mixed opinions here. I will either end up with a super scary horror flick (a good thing) or a hilarious comedy, also a good thing. I cant lose.

Wrong...it was pretty scary. Not disturbing, horror-scary like Exorcist or anything, but entertaining, creepy scary like the Orphanage.

Really looking forward too it and those alternative endings I've heard of.
