Default Another Spider-Man question.

I was wondering if you guys had heard anything about a 4th spiderman.

I don't want to buy the box-set if they're making a 4th...

It's just like Harry Potter. I don't want a box set, then 2 or 3 movies to the side of it...

What about X-Men is number 4 still planned?

So have any of you heard anything? Should I just go with the individuals?

there are still plans for spiderman, xmen dont know, and harry potter of course but i think you should still get the box set unless you want to spend like almost $200 to get the whole series in 1 box

Spiderman 4: Sony is hoping for a May 2009 release (who knows really though)
X-men 4: Wont happen for a while if it does, cause they are working on the WOlverine and Magneto spinoffs first..

That's the thing. I want to get the box-set. But I don't want 1-5 of HP or 1-3 of Spiderman in a nice box. Then have the last 2 in individual BD cases looking all dumb.

I know it's silly to worry about how the collection looks on the wall. But I don't want it to look stupid. I guess I care too much.lol.

well the box for harry potter 1-5 is pretty impressive but yeah i understand what you are saying i think you should just rent the movies seperately then when a complete collection comes out then buy it as for spiderman and xmen who knows how many more movies they will make so like if they had spiderman 1-3 then like 4-6 that would still look good in your collection

1) I LOVE YOUR AVATAR!
2) I heard that Sam said he wouldn't do Carnage because he didn't like the character. I thought that was lame since he was one of the most important Spidy characters EVER.

If you wanna see these movies, buy the box sets, or individually. Otherwise, you'll be waiting a very long time for these movies to be released in one complete box... that will only ever happen if the studios decide NOT to make any superhero films ever again. With Spider-man, X-Men, Superman, Batman and the like, these are timeless characters whom can be replayed and stories retold again again. There are no set number of films for either franchise that any studio has decided on, or put a number on.
Harry Potter will end after 7 movies. We know this. You know this. The 7th film comes out in 2010, followed by the potential Blu-ray release later that year or in 2011. Will there be a box set of all 7? More than likely yes. Wanna wait for that? Go ahead, but I think they should just be enjoyed when they can.

Studios keep doing this with their franchises, releasing box set after box set whenever they release a new movie for the series. It's all about the money and nothing more.

Usually, buying a box set now, such as Spider-man or Harry Potter when they come out, will save you a few bucks from buying individually, and even more from having to rent the disc over and over again. What I usually do, is sell the previous set or movies if they are no longer useful to me when I upgrade with the latest and greatest box set.

Or you could get hit by a bus before any of those franchises are finished. Live a little.

Just for the sake of argument these are 3 separate movies boxed together, not like the potter box set, so you could just take them out of the box.

I like them. But carnage is like superman's doomsday. Or X-men's apocolypse.

I heard up to 3 additional Spidey's. So I couldn't wait on the box set.

Both Tobey and Kirsten said no more, then they turned around and said there is no Spiderman without them. I have to agree. Tobey is Spiderman, bar none. Would I watch a new Spiderman without Tobey? Yes. They look the same in the costume, right? But in my heart, it would just suck.

As I have said before, he will be an American Icon for the rest of his life, and beyond, because of these movies. He should be honored and embrace it. When actors don't embrace the role for which they are most loved, they normally become out of work and forgotten has beens.

As of July Sam Raimi is still attached to Spider-Man 4 however he hasn't decided whether or not he'll be the director or a producer. As for villains:

The Lizard has always been a favorite of mine, even before working on these movies. I've always liked Kraven The Hunter, but he'd have to be used selectively. For me though it would have to be the Lizard.

WTF. Why would Raimi drop spiderman and try to do the hobbit? He's never going to compare to Pete with that movie. That seems very risky. Sure the money is built in, but I wouldn't touch it.

With that being said. I think Electro and Carnage may be in movie 4 based on www.imdb.com unless there's another red menece that I don't know about.
