So is there any real advantage to buying a 120hz over a 60?

After looking at some of the 120 and 240; I think I will stick with 60. IMO the 60 is smoother.

Yes, providing it does 5:5 pulldown properly.
Then you would turn OFF motion interpolation and just use the 5:5 feature.
