How do you know this? Any proof? So You are telling us that the TrueHD isn't the same because it sounds lower volume wise? I level matched it between my DVD player and my Blu-ray player and guess what? ... It sounds pretty much the same, with the TrueHD coming out on top.

Does anyone know when this Special edition version is supposed to hit Canada, i rmember a few weeks ago hearing that The new line version would replace the crappy alliance version on October 6th, But bestbuy.ca still only lists the barebones version

Is this coming to canada on tuesday?

lately bestbuy and future shop have been really lazy with putting movies online n stuff. ive seen many titles in the store but not online and many titles that are online and say its in stock and then i go and they dont have it, best bet is call them up on tuesday and see if they got it in or just go

Alright, just got back from Best buy where i found a copy of the special editin of FvJ, and best part is that it was only 22.99..the wait sucked but looks like Canada official has Freddy vs Jason special edition

What i find funny is that my besybuy also had the barebones editions mixed in with the new version, they where all the same price but if someone just grabbed it without looking it would be a 50/50 as to what version you got

The main difference between the barebones and special edition (besides the special feature listing on the back) is that the special edition has a square picture of FvJ on the spine (between the english and french titles) where as the barebones only has the title

Wal Mart had it cheaper at 20.89.

Another difference is the red special features banner on the new edition and the missing red tag on the front cover from the bare bones release.

I finally ordered a copy today and cant wait til it comes I have waited long enough to see freddy on blu-ray. Also ordered TCM (remake).

Forgot how much fun this was! Two horrormovie icons in the same film. Gotta love that.

The Blu-ray looks and sounds pretty good as well! And we even get to see clips from the old Nightmare movies in HD...

I just watched it again last night and I thought it held up pretty well. It is be no means a good movie, plus I think Jason got shafted on the screen time a bit. However, it does exactly what it needed to do in a thoroughly entertaining way. It had some great nods to the original franchise without destroying the continuity (if it still exists) to either of them. For me, its a fun B movie.

Not a bad transfer at all, especially at that price, definitely worth it. I got mine for $10 by the way so I consider it worth it. Would say PQ is 3.5/5 and looks very good for what it is.

If you can get for $10.. buy it. PQ is good. The movie itself is too clean for my tastes...I like my horror movies more gritty and dirty..

Interview with the Vampire is worth it if you can get it for less than $10 unless you're a huge fan. Very mediocre transfer but still an upgrade from the DVD.
