Onkyo 805 Display/Dimmer problem - Blu-ray Forum

Called my local service center ALL TECH ELECTRONICS in NJ. They asked me to bring the receiver in after christmas and new year, since they are overloaded for now.

Have to wait for a month.

ok but you didn't tell us if it's still under warrenty or not; so which one is it?

yes it is still under warranty, I have my sales receipt from amazon when I bought it back in march 2008. They asked to bring the receipt with the unit, when I take it in for repair.

Cant wait to get it fixed, otherwise I gonna lose my eyesight by tryn to look at the volume each time

when I am adjusting it.

Atlast I took my receiver in, to the nearest service center, which was almost an hour drive...which is not really bad..They told me its gonna take 2 to 3 weeks! I gonna miss the sound for the next 3 weeks..Asked them to update the firmware too..have to wait and see..Well the good thing is its is still under warranty!!

Got the beast back...works like a charm!!..the turn around was very good..Took only 9 days to get it fixed..I would suggest this service center - all tech electronics if you are in central/northern jersey.
