Maybe FS & Warner got the message?
Really? I picked up a HP Iron Pack. This one seemed very nice and clean. The spines along with the rest of the case were all flush and didnt have the problem with the T: Salvation where the case were mis-aligned due to the digital copy.

I sandwiched HP between the two other steelbook releases and were almost identical.

I will continue to by these Iron Packs as they are not as bad as others have mentioned.

On a side note, $19.99 for a new release BD movie (amaray version) is dirt cheap. Im surprised they market it that low. Im sure they will even sell at 24.99+ due to the holidays and it is a popular movie for the kids and teens.

The spine was aligned properly. Much better than Terminator Salvation. But the print along the spine looked like crap. Maybe it was just the few I picked up. But it looked alot worse than a Steelbook or Terminator Salvation. It seemed faded or cheap for some reason. Wish I took a pic.

#1 reason why I didn't pick up the IRONPACK today. Ain't paying $5 more for a Steelbook knockoff. Not when Steelbooks themselves are the same price as their Amaray counterparts. This makes no sense to me. Incentives should be free IMHO.

I picked up my Harry Potter Ironpack today and it looked alot better then the Terminator 4 ironcase simply because it had no marks or scratches in the paint and the spine was in perfect condidtion. Both front and back covers aligned perfectly unlike the terminator. What i liked most was the fact that there was no blue band across the top of the ironpack. the picture takes up the full cover. will post some pics soon

I agree that the new HARRY POTTER IronPack looks a lot better than TERMINATOR SALVATION.

I did not find any alignment or denting problems at my store. Yes, the spine is still slightly different since it is not plastic like SteelBooks, and yes SteelBooks are still slightly superior, but the IronPacks come close. I bought one since I was there anyway. Not sure if I would keep it, but that's purely based on the movie itself and not the IronPack case.

The spine art is not as nice. That is because the title is very tall and they really shrunk it down (a little too much) to fit it on the spine.

To the casual customer they look identical to SteelBooks.

I asked about the pricing. I was told that they had to lower the price of the amaray to $19.99 to price match WalMart (Canada). The IronPack version was not adjusted because it's a Future Shop exclusive.

Say, did any of you get the free HP journal that came with it? I forgot to ask about it on my way out.

I returned my HP6 Ironpack today.. im starting to notice that the finish of the ironpack isnt as good as steelbooks and the colour is a bit dull. It worked well with Terminator Salvation where you want that dull colour to blend with the machine and the ironpack effect but HP6 does not benefit from that. My 2 cents

Yeah i wish the SBs did not have the blu-ray thing run all across the top. I think the design needs to be reviewed on those.. most of us collectors do not like it.

In terms of the journal, i do not think stores received it but i didnt find that it was a web exclusive either. You needed to have ordered this like yesterday or the day before when the promo just came on along with the price drop to get the journal i think. Either way i find the amaray version more appealing.. the lenticular lens is a nice touch for HP6.. definitely no ironpack for me and i probably won't get the steelbook... im pretty sure by the time HP8 comes out we will have some sort of deluxe collectors edition
