I think 800-723-4763 is the number for Buena Vista Home Entertainment (or DHE, or whatever they call themselves now).

I have read that 800-598-9671 is the direct number for the promotional offer. I'm still inside 8 weeks so I haven't used either to check on my status yet.

If I'd seen the posted photo of the PS3 box's UPC symbol, I'd repost it here now, I swear.

I always staple or otherwise affix the UPC code label to the rebate form so that it cannot accidentally be lost. Yours probably stuck inside the envelope or fell out when they opened it.

The most annoying thing about this offer is how long it takes them to even get you in teh system. Mine's been mailed off for 6 wks and they STILL don't have me in the system. I called and the girl , who was nice actually, said to give them 8 wks to get it into the system.

8 wks? Seriously, what do people do there?

It took about 6 or 7 weeks before I was in their system, and then another 2-3 weeks for me to get them. Rebate type stuff is always SLLLOWWW.

You are correct (800) 598 -9671 is the direct line, I just called them and got confirmation on my order. Should ship in about 6 weeks!

An e-mail to me confirmed that was the number to call. A very nice lady confirmed I was in the sytem and the movies will get here in about 4 weeks. ugh.

Turns out I we need to mail in the sticker on the side of the S300 box, not the bottom. Go figure.

I am dreading the offer as I plan to pick up a BDP-S500 soon.

BUT the fact that there is a delay is actually a good thing!
Means they can't make them fast enough and there are not enough just sitting around!

Is it just an S300 with firmware updates???? If so then you could save money and get the S300 and update it yourself.

It a bit more than just firmware.
It's closer to the S1 only it has HDMI 1.3 and the latest audio.
Maybe built a bit more solid similar to the ES series,
not that I plan on throwing it around hehe.

Weather it is worth the extra $$ ....I'll have to let you all know after I get it. =)
