I hope you are in jest. The RROD issue is far from over. The shrunken CPU is nowhere in sight and the heat sink is band-aid at best for both the GPU and CPU. The mobo is still not secured properly and the GPU still runs too hot.

Keep in mind this is for his kid, and no parent wants to deal with taking care of the shipping and handling of a broken product several times within a three-year period.

Honestly, if a parent wants to get grey hair really early, purchase the kid a 360. That way when it breaks, the parent gets to go to the store to be told to send it directly to the manufacture, then have to find where the box was stored and wrap everything up and then be out of pocket for the shipping. After this, the parent can listen to the kid ***** for the next couple of months until the returned 360 delivery slip appears on the doorstep, which will probably require a trip to the post office. After this, the parent can listen to the kid ***** about how it's not the same and there are scratches on this unit, etc.
