There are many threads on this subject. However for the time being it will not be available on Blu-ray, that may change in about 15 months. Another way to look at it is Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End, The Spiderman Movies and many other blockbusters will not be on HD-DVD.

If you ignore these posts, will they go away? JK

I am beginning to agree with some other posters here...people with less than 10 posts shouldn't be allowed to start threads.

Use the search tool in the forums to find out if questions have been asked previously.

Someone stop these troll posts. It's only to get worse as the paid HD-DVD shills ramp up their attack on this forum until Transformers is released. It's a marketing tactic hoping to convert a few Blu-ray only adopters into going neutral. Anyone with sense would recognize these tactics. They've already taken over most of the other forums with these types of tactics. Going neutral for Transformers alone just doesn't make sense unless you want to be stuck in a world with lossy soundtracks and bitrate handicapped transfers. The only high definition format that has a prayer of beating dvd is Blu-ray and that's why I've chosen to remain Blu-ray only.

Notice: For all the HD-DVD lurkers out there who are reading this, remember what happened to DVD-Audio & SACD? There both dead as mainstream consumer formats. Microsoft doesn't really care about you or HD-DVD, but will do anything in its power to prevent the Blu-ray format from becoming the dominant home video format...for obvious reasons.

Yeah, another pointless thread started by a new member with one lone post and no comeback reply.

On a side note, are the Pirates of the Caribbean and Spiderman trilogies only on BLU?

I couldn't tell if it was grain or compression blocks... I am still leaning toward compression blocks.

There are some interesting posts from people who have less than 50...but again, I am starting to agree with this idea.
