I've narrowed it down to the Pioneer VSX-1019 since I know that it does officially support 24 fps or the Sony STR-DH800. I will be using a pair of Polk M30's and my 100 watt Yamaha subwoofer for a 2.1 sound system. It must be fast in switching audio decoding formats, for example no more than 1 second delay in sound from switching from PCM to DD HD. It must not have a 60hz hum while turned on. It must have a reliable HDMI switcher with no degradation in image quality. I'll be connecting an Xbox 360, Sony N460 blu-ray player, and maybe early next year a PS3 and don't want to experience any HDMI handshake issues with those devices when connecting to a receiver's HDMI ports.
