If there is something in particular you are looking for, try PMing Cory Lendon on here. He got me the Wanted poster I was searching for. All his are double sided originals.

Thanks for that ringing endorsement, lol.

I do have a good many posters we're looking to toss out here at the theatre, dating back a couple of months. If there's anything that current, including now showing, and advance teasers, send me a PM. I've got some old stock. i.e. Pineapple Express, Fast and Furious, Precious, etc that I'm looking to get rid off. Usually $10/shipped is what I ask.

Does anyone know if there is anywhere that you can get some movie themed posters at. I'm thinking along the lines of a poster of the painting "Celebration" in Wedding Crashers or of the painting in Dodgeball where Ben Stiller is taking the Bull by the horns. Does anyone know if these works of art were ever made into posters?

May not be reproduction, but it is not a real double-sided poster. The measurements are listed as 11x17, the mini size theatres often give out. They are usually single-sided.

99.99% of all studio-issued posters are double-sided and measure 27" x 40" for the US. There are very, very few posters that come single-sided for extremely limited releases for low-budget movies that may have a roadshow style release or maybe <20 theatres nationwide.
If you're buying posters from before the early 90s (mid-80s at some studios), they used to come to the theatres folded. Keep an eye out for that detail if in doubt of authenticity.
Quads (sideways posters from the UK) are 30" x 40" and are double-sided.

If in doubt when thinking of getting an online shop's poster or from eBay, google the poster to see if there was that design released in that country... there are some good custom prints out there.
Another thing you'll see a lot of is a listing claiming a poster is legit but measures 24" x 36". Those are the kind Wal-Mart sells.

If you're looking to get very vintage/collectible posters (ie Star Wars original run), do lots of research on avoiding fakes. With A New Hope, for instance, the original printing facility (with original plates) printed an unauthorized run to capitalize on the film's success. There are many in-depth guides to particular posters and buying expensive posters in general to help you get the best price on a real product.

Happy hunting!

this place is awesome! and not to bad on prices, I just went and bought 5 posters for my new home theater this past weekend.

It's located in Toronto but they ship online...they also can put any poster onto this vinyl type canvas instead of framing it, I think it would cut down on any glare off the TV good idea.

I get all mine at http://www.allposters.com. Found them to be great. They even replaced a creased poster no questions asked. Just told them the problem and they shipped me a replacement.

You need to talk to Kinsella5 on the Posters forum on here, here is the link to that:

I recently bought one from Ebay and was very happy with it. There are some good movie-poster stores on Ebay.

I have a local movie poster store and gallery and they had about nothing so I'll keep getting mine from Ebay.

(I got a handful of frames for X-mass so I'm hunting a few nice posters too.)
