Maybe a couple of reasons...

1. Never seen the show before, so blowing over 200 bucks for the ENTIRE series in a blind buy? Seems very risky.

2. The packaging sucks.

3. Some people don't want generic, printed off artwork for regular blu cases.

At least, these are my reasons.

I understand not wanting to buy it all but if you get the UK set the packaging doesn't suck (at least IMO) and is only around 150 USD.

I think the two biggest reasons would be getting the show in regular packaging and if you didn't want to spend all of that money at once. The $62.99 price tag is a joke though, which is a shame as I would have went that route so I didn't have to spend all of that money at once. As it is now, I won't be owning any of the series at all and I would love to.

You may have just gotten lucky by getting it for that price. I would have been more than happy to go this route instead of buying the whole series at once, but only if the price was actually $49.99 everywhere.

I just got my whole series in the mail today, I hope to start re-watching them tomorrow evening. I thought about the individual seasons, but didn't want to wait for them to come out. I am glad I did it that way, got it for $199new shipped from Amazon.

I don't mind buying the UK version set since I like the packaging better then the U.S. version and I understand it's region free. My concern is the UK version has the PAL format and my question does the UK version playback as well as U.S. version on our players??? Is there anything I need to be concerned about???
Thanks for your time.

UK disc are exact copies of US disc, only the disc art change... It's 24hz at 1080p and region free. so it plays in any player around the world.

I bought the complete series on eBay used for $130 shipped and despite the horrible packaging it was worth every penny. This show is like crack....it sucks you in from the very beginning and doesn't let go. I'm already on season 3 and I can honestly say it's one of my favorite shows I've ever watched. It's up there with The Sopranos, 24, The Shield, Lost, etc.

It'll be really hard not to buy the complete series once I'm all caught up on what I already own, but I personally like having inidvidual seasons rather than a big blocky complete series. Until LOST has one that is

I loved the series but at 65 bucks it's way too expensive I'll wait till it drops around the 35 - 30 margin.

$65 for a single season makes the Complete collection a bargain except for the crappy packaging. Hopefully they'll re-release the complete collection in a more shelf friendly version once all the single seasons are out.
