I originally had an Onkyo 805 hooked up to these speakers and experienced the same problem,I figured a new AVR and amp would solve this problem but it didn't. It's kind of hard for me to audition "Good" speakers since the only A/V store in my area is Best Buy(which is where I got the F-3's from).
If you're listening to music in your HT setup and that music is 2-channel, then you need to make sure your front speakers are set to Large. Are you matrixing?

I tried listening to music in 2 channel and I don't like the way it sounds so I tend to listen to tunes in "Extended stereo" which is pretty much all channels, it sounds ok I guess.

If the stuff you're listening to is recorded in 2-channel, then you should be listening to it in 2-channel. I don't know why anyone would want to do anything else, but that's me...I'm a 2-channel junkie!

You have to goto the websites of speakers you have interest in and click on the 'find a dealer' in your area.

You may have to do some driving, but they are out there.

Thanks, I will have to look into that place. Didn't you used to have Klipsch fronts? How come you got rid of them?

I didn't get rid of them, like callas01 said, it was done for me...

Some people broke into my apartment and stole my entire theater system including my bedroom stuff.

I am in the process of looking for a new home to move into.

Since they broke in about 3 months ago, I have been re-building my stuff.

From Klipsch I had:
F2's
C3
Quintet III's
(2) Sub-12's

I had no complaints about bass when watching a movie!
