My question is for anyone here who owns both a Harmony One AND a PS3 with the Logitech PS3 adapter. When I set up my One for use with the PS3 everything works perfectly, EXCEPT I get redundant commands in the touch screen. It happens every time I update the remote and for the life of me I can't get rid of them. It's not like that in the Harmony program on my computer. In the programming software it's exactly like I want it to be. When I scroll through the touch screen pages on my remote though, it's different. The buttons are exactly like I want them until you get to where they should end. Instead of ending I always have 3 or 4 extra ones that are redundant. I've tried deleting them and updating the remote and they go away when I do, but when I put them back, it puts them back twice. This doesn't affect the way the remote works or anything, but it's just a glitch that I find annoying. I figure for the cost of a Harmony One there shouldn't be any glitches with it.
And just for the record, I currently have 5 redundant commands on the touch screens. They are: Display PS Options PopUp Menu Eject I should also add that I have tried updating the firmware in the remote, but it didn't make any difference. Last edited by Steve; 01-13-2010 at 03:47 AM. |

OK thanks. I might do that. It's only the activity for the PS3 where this happens. It's really nothing more than an annoying glitch, but I still don't like it.

You can rename all your activities as well as your individual devices. For example my Xbox 360 doesn't display as game console, but 'Xbox360'. You just go under the activities tab and for the specific activity click on the 'settings' button and there will be an option for renaming the activity. It's the same for individual devices as well. Go under the devices tab and for the specific device click on 'settings' and select 'rename device'.

As far as new products are concerned there's the 1100 and the 900. The 1100 is Logitech's flagship remote, an update of the older 1000. The 900 appears to be just the One with RF added. There are older models as well (i.e. the 890 which was an Amazon lighting deal this morning), but these two are the best available from what I can tell.

![]() I think I might go for the 900 and stick the 1000 in the bedroom to replace my aged 555 that is on it's way out I think. ![]() I might give the 555 a 'Harmony Funeral'. ![]() EDIT: Just bought a 900 lol ! Ah well, ain't bought nothing in ages ! ![]() Last edited by THE_FORCE; 01-22-2010 at 02:22 PM. |

I just wish I could program a button for the white screen so I can step away from my TV when it's paused without worrying about image retention. If anyone knows how this can be done please clue me in. |

Are you sure about this? I thought you could as well, but when I tried to program a sequence (or whatever it's called) I couldn't. There is something where you can program up to five consecutive commands. Is that the macro you're talking about? On my TV it takes 11 button strokes to get to the all white screen burn protection, which would mean I'm out of luck if that's the case.

so how do you do it. i went to the harmony website with my remote plugged in and i did not see where this can be done?
my samsung plasma has a tool button when pressed brings up options to switch from (eco-dynamic-standard-movie) and now with the calibration done i also have (cal-day & cal-night) for tv watching. the isf calibrator told me to watch tv during day (cal-day), night (cal-night) and bluray movies (movies) these 3 inputs are what is calibrated now. i dont use (eco-dynamic or standard) anymore. i want to be able to push my (watch blu ray) button and have it switch everything including changing it to movie on the settings? and then switch back when i push the (watch tv) button, can it be done? |

Does anyone know if you can turn the volume all the way down to zero on your TV on a Harmony One. I have an activity now that will turn on the TV, Directv receiver, Onkyo stereo receiver and the volume down but it doesn't turn the volume down. I want the volume turned all the way down if it is turned up at all on the TV when he choose this activity. How do I do this?

Can you set that up in the activity I was talking about for the remote. The problem with pushing 'mute' on my tv is it show up on the screen as a speaker with a red x going across it. It won't go off the screen. Turn the volume down to zero for me would be a better option.
