So far, there are no must have movies on HD-DVD. King Kong would be nice, and even Transformers. They are not must haves by any stretch.

The Bourne Trilogy is probably the best of the exclusives. The very best in thrillers and action genre.

They have a few so far this year. But nothing compare to what is waiting for us. I find it amusing they act like movies like simpsons or die hard arent all that, when in reality they must be jeolous as hell.

I guess since Blu-Ray is so much more expensive they only use their HD-DUD players with the included composite cables. Why would they spend $150 on a monster cable when they can almost buy another HD-DUD player for about the same

I can't complain about having competition though. I don't think the BOGO would have happen w/o some rebel rousers. ;-)

With the small number of HD-DVD movies they are selling, there are less people to share the fixed cost which means that on everage, the cost to the studio is more per disc is more for them....this is bad for consumers as well as for the studios.

If they count the total amount of money it takes to have a HD player with internet connectivity, a game machine, the movies, etc...I am pretty sure I am w-a-a-a-a-y a-h-e-a-d!!!!

man.. am i the only person who uses this as a backup.. the 299 hd-dvd players that people consider a good deal ARE NOT 1080P.. how the HELL can you all something a HD player if its not FULL HD.. why would you want to buy a HD PLAYER if it isn't 1080p... i know everyone doesnt have a 1080p tv but still.. $400 blu-ray player with ps3 vs $300 non 1080p player..

Doesn't he realize, upconverting to BD quality, is still better than HDDUD?
