True Blood is in a whole other league my friend lol. You'll find this one to be entertaining if you don't compare it with Twilight or True Blood or any other vampire show out there.

It is. It's a little bit dark at times but also funny too. I read that it doesn't follow the book so if you read the book you might be disappointed.

I'm not much of a reader. From what I've heard I don't think I'd be disappointed if I blind bought it.

I've seen every episode so far. I like it pretty good. I think it's better than Twilight, has a much cooler story too. Doesn't compare to True Blood as True Blood is just plain awesome but Vampire Diaries is still entertaining.

I love this series every episode just keeps me on the edge just waiting to see what happens next. I like it better then Twilight and I haven't seen True Blood so can't compare the two. But the Vampire Diaries is more of an older show then Twilight with blood and a few jumpy parts actually depending on if you are a jumpy person or not.

I saw the 1st season and was overall entertained. Had a real problem w/the whole "vampire football player" but haven't seen him on the field since then making it easier to watch. Here we are season 2 and I'm still watching. I like watching the Salvatore brothers working together. it's cool. I haven't seen "True Blood" so I can't compare but I HATE "Twilight" just so u understand where I am on the spectrum.

We are still on the first season it just took a longer winter break then most shows this week is season 1 episode 13. Season 1 will most likely end in May like the rest of the shows.

That's what I get for getting my info from the G.F. Thanks for setting me straight. I'd like to add if they go "Blu" I will be purchasing... for the G.F.

Yeah I think it will go blu it's there top rated show and WB said that all the special effect type shows will get blu's while the non special effect heavy shows won't until TV on blu starts to pick up. Vampire Diaries seems special effect heavy at least enough to warrant a blu release.

I haven't seen True Blood, so can't compare the two, but I know I like Vampire Diaries muchly. Good story, and interesting twists and surprises.

Plus, the guys are much hotter than in True Blood

Not that you care any tho lol

Better show than I would've thought, surprised they were able to make a show out of a 4 book series. The women on this show are quite attractive, I do wonder how much longer "Damon" will pretend to be a nice guy. Keep it coming CW, you're my favourite network for a reason.

It's actually a 7 book series with 5 being out so far. The 4th is called Vampire Diaries: Dark Reunion and the 5th starts the Return trilogy of books. I think Damon is half and half he is evil but at the same time can be a nice guy and mean what he does like last weeks episode with helping protect Elena.

Yeah but I like the series more I think and they have gotten away from the books so who knows how many seasons we will get. I am also hesitant about movies with a lot of books getting completed I think Harry Potter might be one of the few 7+ books to get every book adapted I mean Narnia isn't doing to well and I don't think Percy Jackson will get all books adapted but who knows maybe it will do good and make it.

I agree. I'd rather watch it every week rather than wait years for the movies. I think they did a smart move into making it a TV show.

I'm interested to see how this season will end though, hopefully we find out the connection between Katherine and Elena. I think Elena is a clone or something.

Elena is not a clone but I don't think she's a human descendant either based on the way they've covered that so far.

But what do Katherine and Isobel have in common? Are they sisters? It's the only explanation that makes sense on the similarities.

They can't be sisters since Katherine is over 100 years old and Isabel died a few months ago on the TV show.

No Problem I still don't know what the connection could be I mean I bet they come from the same bloodline but there must be more to it then that.
