Read about that....not sure how I feel. An Oscar speech is an Oscar speech...I do think this decision will make the speeches more interesting but the winners should be allowed to say whatever they want (within reason of course

no, they're just talking about having them all try to limit their speeches to the time limit (:45 seconds I believe), then if they have anyone they forgot or want to add to a Longer speech, they can do so backstage into a camera, which will be posted on the Web, and/or their own Website, or Facebook page, etc.

But a lot of time they win the award in group of 5 or more. A lot of them don't even get their chances. I don't know but I just think they help make the movies just as much as the directors or the actors but they never get any respect and never make the same amount of money as well. I just think they should have their 2 minutes each on TV and let their family be happy.

I think after they win once they stop doing that and we've gotten some great speeches in the past, Tom Hanks, Daniel Day Lewis, Forest Whitaker. Pick deserving winners.
Besides that, this is just some lame excuse for the Academy to hear how great they are. "Oh tell us how much our awards means to you?" It's the highest honor in Film but it's also one of the most ridiculous run awards too. |
