Default PS3 Placement?

Is there any problem with placing my PS3 horizontally on top of my Monster Power Center Surge Protector? It can be seen here: http://www.amazon.com/Monster-HTS-26...blurayforum-20. I ran put of space in my home theatre setup.

no problem, I've got my DVr on top of my monster hts5000. If there are vents on the bottem of the ps3, stick a little piece of wood or something under so air can flow.

As a precaution I wouldn't put my PS3 near something that may output a lot of electromagnetic interference.

I would think it would be shielded, however, it must produce heat... not the best choice to put things near.

Well, being an electrician in addition to a software engineer I would say it's probably very well shielded for 2 reasons. This type of hardward needs to be well shielded by it's very nature and also it's a Monster product... they don't screw around.

I try to keep my PS3 in the open, away from the rest of my home entertainment equipment. I've had to have sony replace my ps3 once so I take all precautions now.

I have noticed no heat when I put my hand on the top of it. If it is well shielded, as it should be, the PS3 should be fine, right?
