They are still very nice, clean both of those badboys up and hook the speakers up. It's still a great find.

clean the outside up first, with whatever you dust your current receiver off with. Hook everything up, you might not need deoxit if the knobs aren't scratchy.

They may not be the SA-9500II model, but it's still an absolutely great find. If you're not sure about how to clean the knobs and don't want to try it yourself, find yourself a good TV/Audio repair shop or ask the dealer you're seeing on Monday if he knows anyone. These amps were solidly build and well worth cleaning up to get them back to perfect running order.

And yeah, I'll most likely see you at some point in the wee hours.

Did some searching, but details are sketchy. That amp is rated at 25w/pc, 30w/pc, 35w/pc or 40w/pc, depending on who you believe.

The speaker clips are a bit of a bummer, but nothing that can't be worked easily with some Pin Crimp terminals ends like these.

Mike, they look GREAT Buddy! Pro Gold for the surface, and Contact cleaner spray for the contacts of the dials, and switches should do the trick my Friend. Both at RadioShack. Be Well Buddy! D.

Good moring Everyone! D, Thanks for the comment on the Amp and Tuner. I still need to hook them up and see if they work. There is alot of dust on the inside. Should i take the cover off and use a can of air to dust it off? Question for everyone.

Good morning Mike!

And NO....don't use Compressed Air. Like I said over in my thread, it is too powerful of a stream and could seriously damage the inside components.

Do get the units up and running though. You wanna know if they are still in working order. Did you ask your Dad as to why he retired them? Did he notice if anything was wrong with them?

Nah it was nothing like that. I think it was because we didnt have any type of component hooked up to it other then the Tuner. We rarely listen to the radio in the house. And I dont think my mother liked it taking up room in the Living Room. So it was just put to the side. He was real eager to see if it still works as well.
