You have to use the Sony Rewards points that you earn from buying and registering Sony Blu-ray Discs and Sony products.

You can buy the points directly with a credit card if you want. With each point costing 1 cents so take that into account when looking for a bargain on the site.

$10 = 1,000 points. So new releases on Sony's site are actually $41 dollars before the $10 coupon discount.

You input the code when you after you click to view your shopping cart. Unless you have over 5000 points, you may be better off looking elsewhere.

I had a feeling someone would tell me that is how it worked. What a rip. Thanks for the heads up.

It's not a rip at all, you can get about 2000 points in 1 month from just answering their points questions daily. I spend about 10 minutes a week, and get a free blu about every month (though new releases cost more). Plus, if you register your blu's that have BD-Live, you get 100 extra points. Each time you register 10 (up to 30) you get a free $10 coupon

It's a pretty sweet deal, and I've already milked the program for almost 10 free blu's, not to mention the 5 free when signing up for their credit card

So if you click on that first link, go into the thread for 2/8 and it will give you the links for the games and the answers. Takes like a minute or 2 each day, and your points will start adding up quick, especially if you do the weekly tournaments. They take like 5 or 6 minutes and you get 200 points

Btw when a catalog title comes out, for instance Cliffhanger just came out recently, they'll send you an email for $5 or $10 off, depending on the movie (usually always 5), and then your movie will end up being only 1700-2000 points

And you get the 200 points no matter if you win or loose answering the ?s! It's a "win win" situation!

Alright got it. I'm still a little curious about how the weekly tournament works and how I get points. I did the thing that multiplies how many points you get but what are those points towards? Little confused about that but otherwise kind of fun.

Yeah but do you get this $10 off coupon to use on any blu and also does it only work if you have a SONY credit card, which I will not get. The prices of there blus is prohibitive I assume if you do not have the credit card because all I am able to use is the 500 points from being a regular member and the remainder I have to but points...even when they have a code the price is usually over 20 dollars. Help me become a fan..maybe I do not know the program well enough...

You coul use the 10$ coupon on any blu in their reards catalog. You could use the coupons even if you don't have a sony CC, but you could only apply 500 pts that you have already earned towards your blu, and the rest has to be paid by a Debit/Credit card.

If you do have a sony CC, you apply the Coupon as well as whatever pts you have in ur acct. Your not limited to the 500 maximumpts., and the remainder balance is paid by a CC.

There is so many ways to earn pts on Sonyrewards. You could earn almost 500 pts a week and that is about a new blu for free a month on SOny. Its such a great deal.

Just curious, what is your formula for 500 points a week? I can see maybe 250. I don't know how you are getting 500. Thanks.

The Jeopardy Weekly Tourniment is worth 200 points alone! (I play that Sat mornings) 125 for all the Daily Jeopardy ?'s, 70 for the WOF daily puzzles and flashback ?'s, and 50 for the SPT Trivia ?'s. That's a total of That's a total of 445 FREE points per week! Plus once a month you update you wish list for 25 points. Plus there are occasional polls worth 10 pts each.
