That and/or it's on a Samsung player that hasn't had its firmware updated, which means a way over done noise reduction issue...which would explain exactly why you were understandably underwhelmed by the picture quality results.

Even before I updated my Samsung player, I thought S.W.A.T. looked really good. I'll have to pop it in again to see if there's any improvement.

Not trying to be a dick. I didnt realize gladiator was out/announced for blu ray.

I noticed that on the samsung in BB near me they have an option on the demo disc to check out some movies. They previewed Pirates of the Carribean and it looked like crap. They still need to work on that one.

No it's not. The European release is an upconvert I believe.
