Nightmare Before Christmas is polarized -- the glasses are circular polarizers. The Real-D system is a wonderful system, but it's just a major improvement on the polarization and silver screen techniques that were popular in the 3-D boom of 1953.

Personally, I hate anaglyphs of any kind, usually. I can deal with any kind of 3-D viewing technique, with or without glasses. But too much anaglyph does give me a headache.

Doubtful that it will be in 3-D. There are 3-D HDTVs, but they're a bit too expensive still for the average consumer. Besides, Disney wants this to be an annual event. Your glasses also wouldn't be able to work with your TV if they did release a 3-D version.
