Default PS3 and Sony Bravia KDS-60A3000

So i put a BD in the ps3. When i select hdmi input on the tv that the ps3 is connected to, the ps3 starts to read the disk and play the previews and whatnot.

Should i be able to control the ps3 with the tv remote through the hdmi?

I do know there is some control there due to the fact that ps3 starts the disk when i select it's input on the tv.

you can only control the ps3 through the ps3 remote not the tv remote.

I have the same setup and yes as was said earlier, only the ps3 remote can control the movie play. You can use either the controller or buy a blu-ray remote. Personally, I use the controller.

I like to use the Blue tooth remote.
It was just weird that i put a disk into the ps3 and no matter how long it takes, when i choose the input on the tv that ps3 is connected to, it then starts the disk.

Just thought maybe there was a feature i was not aware of.
