I have a monoprice 4x1 switch that I would like to use but I'm thinking I need a 4x2 with two hdmi out's.

Is there a way to manipulate my current switch so I can run both the tv and pj to it and switch between the two? I tested the switch last night and it will work through the receiver with the projector by itself or the tv by itself.
Thanks
Hello John.

After reading your scenario, the easiest way to resolve your dilemma is opting for a 2 out switcher. There is another solution, but IMO not the most efficient, but it will work. You could opt for this product.

I hope this is a help. Truly, the best option would be an AVR with 2 HDMI outs. But that's way more expensive!

It has a repeater in it to help maintain the signal for longer runs over 25'. By the way, how thick is your HDMI cable? For a run that long, it really shouldn't be less than 24AWG in my opinion...plus you want it CL2 rated as well.
That's the exact one I just bought. My cable is 24awg and it didn't have any issue through my switch.

Thanks, yeah next receiver will have two out's. The splitter I just picked up seems pretty solid, should work well.
