Katherine had no human descendants but we know the falsification of Elena's last name has something to do with it, what that is exactly remains to be seen.

Yeah, we need more flash backs to the past and I think the next episode takes us to the past history.

Katherine will probably end up being released from the tomb in the season finale. I don't know about the other vampires though.

Actually Katherine and the other 26 vampires are supposed to be released, and than the last 8 episodes of the season are dealing with the repercussions of that.

Ok after last nights episode I was like cool. But now they're gonna make us wait 3 weeks for the next episode? Why do they do this? I'm gonna get use to it being off the air then bam! back on? Any1 know the reason for this? Also the picture from the CW is the WORST picture of all my cable channels I hope they release it on blu or at least dvd before so much time passes by that I don't care anymore. P.S. I thought the seal was up on the tomb. Is it down due to "Grams" dying?

Last nights episode was awesome! I'm guessing they are taking 3 weeks off so as not to compete with Winter Olympics. I hate the long break, can't stand it when shows do that. Couldn't believe the revelation that Katherine has been free the whole time!

Yeah that was definitely a crazy revelation. Wonder what Damon will do now. This show AND Supernatural are gone till March 25th, Fringe till April 1st, Chuck till after the Olympics, my damned tv viewing schedule just got decimated.

I'm not 100% positive but I think they broke the seal to get Damon and Stephen out and couldn't put it back up. It didn't matter though since all the vampires were to weak to even stand let alone open the door but Damon through the blood bag so one got enough power to open the door after eating. Also it's taking a 5 week break with supernatural and then coming back for 8 straight episodes finishing the season.

Who was the black vampire that picked up the blood bag? Have we seen him before in flashbacks or is he new? And yeah 5 week hiatus' suck!

He is new could have been in a flashback for a econd or something but other than that brand new.

Well it's good to know that it will end with 8 continuous episodes. That almost makes up for this 3week break. Great twist the Katherine has been out this whole time.

Holy crap! Sara Canning who plays Aunt Jenna AND Candice Accola who plays Caroline where born in 1987!!! I thought Sara was in her early 30's but she's actually 2 years younger than me. Damn she does not look 23!!! But damn...........both really really hot.

Well Supernatural and Smallville both have blu releases, and apparently VD is the most popular show on the CW right now, so I'd call it a safe bet.
