It was obvious to all of us he liked Blu from the beginning. The 'day after' backpedaling was obvious Paramount calling him up and slapping him on the hand holding a contract in his face and telling him to shut up. It was never HIM apologizing for what he said. I always believed that.

Here, he cleverly throws in that Bluray is his ultimate choice, while talking about the hi-def war in general, and not specifically mentioning Transformers on HD or even bashing HD in the process.

I also looked at the second blog post as his damage control for the first.

Right after the Paramount decision in the uproar that followed everyone was shocked that the most vocal voice against it was from the director of the studio's biggest blockbuster of the year. The retraction post was most likely after Bay had discussions with his and Paramount's lawyers that told him that saying bad things about Paramount/Dreamworks, its movies, and business decisions is a big no-no.

this time Bay made a general statement...not pointing a finger at anyone studio
though his statement is still pro Blu-Ray which is getting his point across.
Though it would be funny if there was yet another retraction yet again...
just the IRONY alone is funny both sides are getting worked up over nothing in my OPINION all in fun...i say...
