The cheapest LCD display on the market that displays 1080P/24 correctly is the Sony KDL-40XBR4 for around $2016.

If you have the room the cheapest display that displays 1080P/24 correctly is the Sony KDS-50A3000 SXRD rear projector for under $1600. SXRD are better quality then LCD and some Plasma’s and have a 2.5ms response time. Every few years you need to change a light bulb but they produce a nice quality picture.

A projector isn't a bad idea...Do you know if there's a way to find out how far the project has to be placed back from the screen to produce a certain size image?
