I should have changed the title of the thread to affordable Bipolar/Dipolar speaker manufacturers.

Bigdaddy, you should add M&K Sound to the list. They make reference level surround speakers in either dipole or tripole configurations.

Here's their web site:

They look nice and quite efficient too, so an average AVR should be able to push them nicely. I also see they are offering a nice discount for pre-orders, not to mention providing their new metal grills when they are shipped in July. Not too shabby IMO.

Concerning the SSS speakers...

They are heavy but they look really good, when I was up at the SVSound HQ a month or so ago we got to look at a set, but they didnt have any hooked up at the time. I'm very interested in the bi-poles. I want either bi-pole of di-pole for surround duty but I'm thinking I want bi-poles for the front height speakers...not sure if that would be better that direct or.....?

But the SVS SSS speakers were dang nice...a little pricey compared to the Emotiva di/bi-pole but I will say that they sure looked good and I really wanted to hear them.
