Cancelled Superman PS3 Game Trailer surfaces - Blu-ray Forum

Just saw this the other day and thought I'd share...Gametrailers.com posted a preview for what was apparently an in-development Superman game for the PS3, and one that involved a fight with Doomsday at that. I don't think there's ever been a "successful" Superman video game but this one looked like it could have had potential.

Niiiice. I'm still waitin for a decent superman game. It'd be nice if Rocksteady were to take over the project.

Its not impossible, I've red that Warner bought majority of Rocksteady share so... who know...

yea, i read that too last night. if they do the same thing they did with Batman, then we'll finally get a good superman game.

youre right sus, i cant think of one successful superman game, but hopefully this one isnt completely dead, id love to play a great superman game!

You know, I actually had high hopes for that superman returns game. lol I mean flying was awesome..but everything else was just garbage...lol the last boss being a tornado.
The death and return of superman was actually pretty good. I enjoyed it, and dont get me started with superman 64 =/

I will give you Death and Return of Superman, really liked it (but wow was it hard)...sad that his finest game was on the SNES though.

The flying in Returns was great, but yeah, terrible, terrible execution....

I think you're overlooking the 2600 game where the goal is to get Clark Kent to the bank.

This looks awesome! I believe previously we were talking about the cancelled Factor 5 Superman game but there was only a concept/modelling trailer.

I really really really hope for a Superman game with the abilities that were shown in this trailer.

After Arkham2 maybe Rocksteady could do Superman justice....

I think the only way I would be into a new Superman game is if they base it on the Death of Superman and the Reign of the Supermen

Isn't that the same trailer that's been out for over a year now? Factor 5 missed their opportunity. Hopefully we can see something similar to that style with DC Online.

Edit: Okay, it hasn't been out for over a year, but just under a year.

Can't believe you guys are forgetting the Superman Arcade game from the 80's. I can't tell you how many quarters I spent on that classic.

The problem with superman games is he's almost immortal so any time theres a health bar or power bar I just roll my eyes

The beginning cutscene is old, but the actual gameplay in the latter part of the video was just released.

Very true, Superman Returns at least tried to do something interesting in that regard but I don't think it worked too well (i.e. making the city of Metropolis the "health bar" and if enough of it was destroyed you fail).

Wow looks like it could be really fun. After Arkham Asylum 2 I think they should do work on this.

What a disappointment it was not finished.

The graphics only look so-so, but Superman deserves a great video game for once. I even liked that Justice League game on the PS2.

Yeah, the graphics didn't look great, but I' am sure this game was no where near close to being finished, allowing for some heavy polishing. If this game could have came together, it MIGHT have been better than Arkham Aslum. Porbably not, but it's possible.
