i have been waiting for Battlefield 1943 for PC for quite sometime now lol

it was Battlefield 1942 that got me away from Halflife, i was big into Halflife Opposing Force, had a blast playing multiplayer, but it was pretty much in your face kinda thing

then out came the demo for Battlefield 1942, Wake Island, i was like, OMG, i can fly planes? wow, hahaah
then Dice made the Desert Combat mod, which was the best ever, lol

I consider BF 1942 the greatest game I have ever played. 64 player matches, huge maps, tanks, submarines, B-52s, even a friggin aircraft carrier! And none of that commander radar or UAV crap (not that I didn't enjoy BF2, 1942 was simply better)

Those were the good old days.

MAG seems to come close from the previews and reviews I've seen, but no mouse and keyboard support sigh* I just can't get into console FPSs
