Default Slow News Day

Is it just me, or has this week been rather slow. In fact, I think we have had no news for 2 days this week.
This is boring! I was so used to the fast paced announcements we were getting when there were tons of releases, lots of articles, people proclaiming this and that, etc... now it's just dull...

(oh wow.. we are up to 250 of the folding@home site... woopie.. nothing to do with blu-ray tho) ¬.¬

I dunno.. I am just getting restless. The war is in a bit of a lag this week.

I agree, I think the Lionsgate announcement for bringing out 3:10 to Yuma next January should be a news item, that movie kicks ass!

Well, sometimes no news is good news No news means we are still in the lead, no other studio made any stupid moves, etc. That's how it should stay. It's the other side that needs to be worried.
Seriously though, the only news this week everyone is interested more or less is to see the Nielsen numbers on Friday. That is it.

Well I haven't seen that movie yet, but it looked cool...

And I await the Nielson numbers impatiently.
Can't tomorrow come faster?

Or could Universal or Weinstein just go neutral already?

no, i don't care for it. they've got some serious financial issues that they need to work out. it has underperformed this market greatly and for good reasons too. seriously, blu-ray is the key to that company right now. blu-ray wins, it'll sell ps3s (the heart of their problem) and they will make bank with royalties. ill be able to get the low down on when blu-ray is really going to pull out just off of expert knowledge of this war, then im probably going to pull the trigger. its going to take about another year though.

I can't wait for the Nielsen numbers tomorrow. I am really hoping that Blu-Ray can pull off the victory for that week. We did have the BOGO sales and many people bought more than 2 Blu-Rays each. I for one bought over 10 BD's & Myfriend bought 28 BD's that week.

its going to be very close. however, in my little college town, not one copy of transformers on hd dvd sold. i didn't take place in the BOGO as i am officially broke. wouldn't it be something though if blu-ray won the week like 65:35. also, what po's me is if this is close it will litterly come down to misinformed ppl buying the hd dvd version and putting it into a dvd. i bet hd dvd gets 5-6% of their sales from that.

I think it will be close, but I'm sure we will be ahead. We always are.

I am more concerned for the sales later in the year. I want to see us smash the competition this year and convince WB (and others) to join Blu!

I bought 12 all together for the week.
That should cancel out 11 other people who bought TF.
