Had a Panny BD-35 that lasted a little over a year. I never liked the Panny as it had extremely slow load times, although I never had a problem with it not reading a disc. Replaced it with a Sony 460. I am much happier with it and I will never buy another Panasonic player again. Granted most players are priced so that you can replace them, but longevity needs to be built into all equipment regardless of price. I guess the moral here is don't buy a Panasonic, but thats only my opinion.
