Default Alfred Hitchcock in Blu-ray

Forgive me for starting a thread that someone else may have started before, but does anyone know if there are other Hitchcock movies available in Blu-ray besides North by Northwest?

The 39 Steps is available in the UK, but it's generally considered to be a very poor transfer.

If Hitchcock's other films get the same treatment as North By Northwest, I'll be delighted -- that's one beautiful-looking blu-ray. Fingers crossed for Vertigo. And Rear Window. And Notorious. And... and... and...

Thank you! I agree with you completely: They did a fantastic job with North by Northwest. I am waiting in particular for Topaz, The Birds and Vertigo on Blu-ray.

Universal has been completely out to lunch with regards to Hitchcock on Blu-ray. Supposedly if HD DVD had lived another year, they were set to release many of them around Christmas. But talk of them just disappeared the minute Blu-ray vanquished HD DVD.

Maybe they're working on higher-bitrate transfers with the extra capacity blu-ray offers over HD-DVD... Maaaybe?

Dial M for Murder is rumored for later this year.

Thank you all. This is very encouraging. I guess I just have to be patient. I have mentioned this before, but has anyone noticed the beautiful job in North By Northwest BD version when Cary Grant and his secretary are sitting at the back of the taxi and one can see all the fine details of the back sit fabric? This is a truly great Blu-ray transfer. I hope they do just a great job in the upcoming Hitchcock movies on Blu-ray. Dial M for Murder would be a good one too and so would Marnie

I would be happy if the Blu-ray of Jimmy Stewart version of The Man Who Knew Too Much finally got a decent transfer. The DVD is awful.
