Bambi: Diamond Edition - 2011 - Blu-ray Forum

Right now, this is being predicted for a Spring 2011 release following the previous Platinum schedule. So, who else is excited for this release? I know I am. I love the Disney classics, and I can't wait to add this one to my collection.

I think I saw this old masterpiece like 4 times in theatres as a child, back when theatre tickets were like $2 a head all the time.

I think the bigger questions are "who is predicting this?" and "have their previous predictions been accurate?"

I've never seen it and I guess I'm not the only one. Heck I never seen Pinocchio either until I got it on bluray.

Predicted by who? In case you haven't noticed, Disney has pretty much done away with "following the previous schedule" when it comes to their Platinum (now known as Diamond) line.....otherwise, we would have had a title released this spring, as we have in years past....

I have arrived at a point with Disney/Pixar that I believe it when its on the shelf. Even "Firm" and "official" announcements are subject to change.

I don't know if Bambi will move but Beauty & the Beast has been slated for October since 2008 I believe, no reason to think that will change now.

The predictions are just following Disney's old DVD platinum re-release schedule.
And so far, it has followed, with Snow White being the first, then Beauty & The Beast, so theirs no reason to why they'd not be following on as they did with the DVD's.

The only things they've done away with really is the specific months, but they're still releasing the 2 this year, or in this years case 3 if you count Fantasia & Fantasia 2000 seperately.

Bambi and The Lion King should come next year.
