Very rarely do I have any regrets purchasing a CE/LE. If it has special features that appear worthwhile, a cool case (steel book is always a plus), and a figurine or something I'll tend to lean towards getting the CE/LE as long as I have an interest in the game in the first place.
I wish I had bought the CE of Bioshock 1 when it came out. They seem to be pretty pricy now.

There are some I am not sure about and didn't add. Mostly Atlus and NIS games. They almost also release extra goodies with their games and I never know when they are LE ones that were just initial prints or not. Granted a lot of games from those two end up being limited period. Also not sure if the Lunar Silver Star Story Complete release on PS1 is counted or not. And of course some I probably just totally forgot.

If you're talking about big bulky packaging aside from games with a simple 'making of' disc or some such the only one I have is GTAIV. I use the crappy bag for storying extension cords & cables and I use the safe deposit box Not for valuables though - just some general stuff, so it'll fool anyone who steals it expecting huge piles of cash & gold :P

If I liked the Halo series & had a 360 I would've picked up the helmet

I managed to get my hands on a God of War III Ultimate Edition yesterday even though I didn't pre-order one. Whoever ordered it never came back to pay for it or pick it up and wouldn't return phone calls to the store so they let me have it.

Looks pretty sweet, one that could easily sit in an antique store & nobody would know its heritage. Whats the build quality like? Plastic or does it actually feel real & solid?

It's made of plastic, but IMO the quality is very good. You have to slide the lid backward an inch or so and then lift it off to open if and the inside is lined with black felt.

I find Collector's Editions a little overdone, especially when the price kicks in...
But i only have one Collector's Edition and that from The Legend Of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, and planning to get the Bioshock 2 Limited Edition just for the hell of that vinyl record!

That's kinda funny. I decided not to get the Bioshock 2 Limited Edition because I don't have a turntable and overall I'm not that impressed with what comes in it. Just my opinion of course. I do wish I had gotten the collectors edition for Bioshock 1 though.

I'm surprised that nobody has done something like the gold cartridge lately. We could have a golden disc hunt that could make us rich if we got one of them.

Agree I loved one (still haven't finished 2 not as impressed with it as I was with BS1) but the stuff that came in it was for a unique type of person and that was NOT me
