It's more "water weight" with creatine but it does build muscle and burn fat...I'm currently using it and I love it

I used it for a few weeks awhile back and didn't really see much benefit and it seemed to make me feel a little...woozy I guess. Definitely do your research on any supplements you take. Whey Protein is essential to building muscle though. I usually take around 110-120 grams per day.

muscle milk is delicious! but if you just get the generic stuff, some of those can be hard to force down

With skim milk, I've never had a problem. I usually mix them up, mix strawberry with chocolate peanut butter or vanilla. Pretty darn good, I must say. With water, it's atrocious. I barely made it through a cup with water.

you werent drinking enough water aside from the creatine then, creatine monohydrate pulls water from your blood stream your muscles to form water tension in your muscles, allowing you a bit of a boost to your workouts, so it will help you build muscle faster, but it will also puff you up a bit with water weight

I drink upwards of 1 gallon a day. Water is pretty much all I drink. I don't think that was the issue really. Peoples bodies are just different. Mine didn't seem to react well to it.

hmm i guess so, it just sounded like you were getting dehydrated from the loading phase, which is really easy to do
